Looking for a church? We’ve all been there. When you visit a church for the first time it’s common to feel a little awkward or uneasy. Here are some frequently asked questions and answers to help you know what to expect.
What is it like for a first time visitor?
As you enter the church you will be welcomed into a friendly, casual environment by greeters and other authentic people. One of the first things you’ll probably notice is how much we love God and love His people. Others may introduce themselves to you as well. We’re genuinely a friendly church!
When does your Sunday service start?
Sunday service starts at 10 AM starting with 30-45 minutes of worship, a short break, then ~50 minutes of teaching that ends around Noon.
What is the Worship like?
Expect to encounter the presence of God as you experience powerful and engaging worship, focused on honoring God and realizing your identity and inheritance.
In terms of ‘dress’, we are a “come as you are” church. Some men wear blue jeans – others wear dress shirts – a few wear ties. Some ladies wear slacks – others wear dresses. In the summer, shorts are preferred by some. Seriously, wear what is most comfortable for you.
How old are the people who attend?
There are kids from birth through 5th grade who are part of “DCF Kids” along with teens (6th-12th grade) who participate in our regular worship service. You will also find adults all the way up through their 90’s. You will see couples, singles, middle-age and upper-age. No matter what season of life you are in, you will not feel “out of place”.

Express Your Gifts
God created you with unique gifts and skills and passions that He has “graced” you with. You can be fulfilled and change lives by expressing these gifts in a Grace Team.
… Along comes this idea called GRACE to updend all that “as you reap, so you will sow” stuff. Grace defies reason and logic. Love interrupts the consequences of your actions, which in my case is very good news indeed, because I’ve done a lot of stupid stuff.
Bono the Agitator
Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me–watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.
Matthew 11:28-30 ,(Message Bible)
A man can no more take in a supply of grace for the future than he can eat enough today to last him for the next 6 months, nor can he inhale sufficient air into his lungs with one breath to sustain life for a week to come. We are permitted to draw upon God’s store of grace from day to day as we need it..
